Each live music event at The Unicorn Pub in Kent aims to bring you the very BEST in local bands. We feature live bands from all across the county, many of which return due to popular demand! The live bands vary from duos who perform popular Jazz and Blues, to full on 5 piece Rock outfits blasting out hits from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, up to covers from the present day. The Unicorn is just the right size music venue to give every gig a fantastic atmosphere; you can either watch from the bar, enjoy the live music over a drink at a table, or get into the swing of things by dancing the night away in any way you deem fit! Every gig held in The Unicorn Pub is FREE so why not arrive early on the evening and have some food to prepare you for the night ahead!

The Unicorn Pub Quiz...

The Unicorn Pub holds a Pub Quiz on the second Wednesday of every month for anyone wishing to test their wits against our Quiz Masters. Each month the quiz is written by different volunteers and it certainly adds a different dynamic to the evening! It costs £1 per person to enter the quiz, which all goes into the cash prize for the evening and the ‘Snowball’ question prize, which rolls over each month until it gets won!

It is best to arrive early to get a table so why not make an evening of it and have some food before the Pub Quiz begins at 8.30pm. The quiz usually consists of 10 rounds covering most of the usual topics, with some picture and music rounds thrown in for good measure! To keep you on your toes there is usually an unorthodox twist to some of the more straight forward rounds; it entirely depends on who wrote the quiz!

Please bare in mind that while there is some healthy competition between the teams, it is also a light hearted fun affair where ALL are welcome to join in, AND the Quiz Master’s decision is final!

The Unicorn Pub Entertainment...

For some of the best entertainment in Kent, there are occasions where we are taken over by a wave of impulsiveness and organise something off the cuff or slightly random. This could be anything from a Toga Party or Carol Service, to a Beach Party or Summer BBQ. There are also the usual special events for Christmas and New Year!
